Hi, I’m Grace.
A dedicated midwife currently working in the NHS, but also a passionate hypnobirthing instructor and a mum of two girls- Bea and Maggie. I have been a midwife for 5 years and have worked across maternity in all areas.
I decided to train as a Hypnobirth instructor as a student midwife after seeing an amazing Hypnobirth. It was so different to how I had imagined Hypnobirth to be and I was IN!!! Since then I have supported parents Hypnobirthing in so many different birth environments, during caesareans and inductions. Antenatal education, birth choices, and improving birth experiences light my fire! Lets do this parents! Talk birth with me!

The My Parent Hood Story.
As a midwife, I’ve witnessed the incredible strength and resilience of women during childbirth, giving me a deep understanding and appreciation for the transformative power of birth and its impact on parenthood.
But I also see parents struggle to navigate maternity services, often feeling scared and confused about their options. I’m determined to change that. Working in a busy maternity unit allows me to see first hand what parents don’t know and how their birth experience could be improved.
As a hypnobirthing instructor, I’ve had the privilege of empowering expectant parents to approach childbirth with confidence and excitement rather than fear and trepidation. These experiences coupled with my dedication to compassion and advocacy, have fuelled my passion to support parents on their journey.
So, My Parent Hood was born, with a clear mission to provide you with the knowledge and strategies essential for a positive birth and to support your transition into parenthood.
BUT, My Parent Hood is more than just birth preparation, our parenting community or "HOOD" is a supportive network that extends beyond pregnancy and birth. Together we celebrate the highs, overcome the lows, and create connections that extend far beyond the birthing experience.
Welcome to a community where your parenting journey is supported and celebrated every step of the way.
“Her classes offer a unique blend of knowledge, guidance, and empathy. It enabled us to approach birth with confidence. I’m so thankful to Grace!”

Motherhood and me.
When I first became a mum, I lived far away from my family. I felt lost, isolated - and dare I even say it? BORED.
I was totally unprepared for this feeling. Wasn’t it meant to be blissful happiness, beautiful moments and fulfillment? I vividly recall sitting on the floor at a playgroup, surrounded by mums and their babies, all of us cheerfully singing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" (complete with actions) to my tiny, slumbering and oblivious baby. At that moment, I felt such a deep sense of disconnection from both myself and those around me.
Who was this new me? Why didn’t I enjoy this?
I didn't have any parent friends, and I longed for that proverbial "village". It was clear that this kind of support was a game-changer. And so, our parenting community was born, with the mission to provide ongoing support for parents beyond the pregnancy and into parenthood.
